Victims of stalking are primarily females although a there are a few time when males are stalked.  Women are three times more likely to be stalked.  The average age that women are most vulnerable to being stalked is 18 to 39 years old.  In many cases women are stalked by their previous lover and some are stalked by the person they are currently with. Over 1 million females are stalked each year.  In almost all cases the victim as some type of relationship with their offender.  Personal relationship are most common.  this is when the stalker is an ex lover.  Personal relationships with their stalker is most likely to result in some kind of violent attack on the victim.  Professional relationships also are at risk of having a stalker. Teachers, doctors and coworkers or any other person that someone might have a regular interaction with.
